Looking for a little something
to do besides golf?
How about a trip through the Lake Carroll trail system?
15 miles of wooded and open trails encompass the 5,000-acre Lake Carroll
community. Like hiking? The trial system at Lake Carroll
is definitely a challenge.
Up and down the hills, into the woods,
over fallen trees, around old fences
and across open creeks. Need a
break? Have a picnic lunch by one of several
ponds on the trail or just lie back
and watch
the clouds roll by!
Own a horse? Take a quiet ride on the trail and enjoy the same scenic
beauty,
but at a slightly different pace. Then stop by the equestrian
area located below
the dam and visit with the other horsemen.
Truly a sport of relaxation.
If you’re still looking for
a little bit more action – get
on your 4-wheeler and
enjoy the full experience of all 15 miles. Down
the hill, around the trees, through
the creeks and over open
fields. This trail is definitely a calorie burner. Just watch
out for
deer and turkey, they are everywhere!
As the
seasons change, so does the activity on the trail. Winter brings snow-
mobiles and cross country skiers. Take a ride or ski
the trail through the woods
then onto the fields
outside of the Lake Carroll community. Stop along the way at
one of the
local eateries before starting your
return trip. The trail system is
extensive and you could
go on
for days! Happy trails begin and end at that cozy
retreat known as Lake
Carroll.
Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, the Lake Carroll trail
system has it all!
